Payment Policy

1. Accepted Methods of Payment

Jensen Golf Carts accepts the following methods of payment for vehicle purchases, custom builds, and accessories:

• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Our preferred method for all vehicle transactions.
• Asset Financing: Provided through our partnered South African financial institutions.
• Credit/Debit Cards: Accepted in our showroom for deposits, parts, and accessories. Please note that full vehicle purchases paid via credit card may be subject to a nominal transaction surcharge.

For your security and ours, we do not accept large sums of physical cash for vehicle purchases.

2. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Policy

When paying via EFT, the payment must be made to the official Jensen Golf Carts bank account provided on your official proforma invoice. Please use your Invoice Number as the payment reference to avoid delays in processing your order.

Clearance Notice: No vehicle will be released, delivered, or scheduled for transport until the EFT payment has fully cleared and reflects in our nominated bank account. Depending on your bank, this can take 24 to 48 hours. Proof of Payment (POP) alone does not authorize the release of goods.

3. Deposits and Custom Builds

If you are requesting a custom golf cart build, ordering a vehicle not currently in stock, or reserving a highly sought-after pre-owned cart, a non-refundable deposit is required.

• Custom Builds/Orders: A 50% deposit is required before any factory work begins or before an imported cart is secured.
• Holding Deposit: A flat-rate holding deposit (as quoted by your sales representative) can be paid to reserve an in-stock cart for a maximum of 7 days while you arrange final payment or financing.

4. Golf Cart Financing

If you are purchasing your cart via asset finance, the vehicle will only be released once the financial institution has provided us with a final Settlement Letter and the bank has confirmed the transfer of funds to our account. The buyer is responsible for signing all necessary bank release documents prior to delivery.

5. Value Added Tax (VAT)

All prices quoted by Jensen Golf Carts include 15% South African Value Added Tax (VAT) unless explicitly stated otherwise on your commercial invoice. A full Tax Invoice will be provided upon clearance of payment.

6. Ownership and Release of Goods

Full legal ownership and title of the golf cart, parts, or accessories remain with Jensen Golf Carts until the final invoice amount has been paid in full and funds have completely cleared into our bank account. Only then will the goods be released for local pickup or scheduled for nationwide delivery.
