Returns & Refunds

1. General Policy
At Jensen Golf Carts, we strive to ensure that every vehicle and accessory leaves our showroom in perfect condition. Because golf carts are high-value, registered assets, our returns policy operates strictly in accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
2. Vehicle Returns
Vehicles purchased directly from our showroom floor (where the customer has had the opportunity to physically inspect the cart before purchase) are generally not eligible for return due to a "change of mind."
- Defective Goods: If a vehicle is delivered with a material, factory defect, you must notify us in writing within 7 days of delivery. Jensen Golf Carts reserves the right to inspect, repair, or replace the defective component under the manufacturer’s warranty before offering a refund or vehicle replacement.
- Cooling-off Period: If a vehicle was purchased solely via direct marketing or entirely online without a physical inspection, the CPA affords a 5-day cooling-off period. However, the buyer will be liable for all original delivery fees, return freight fees, and a 10% restocking fee.
3. Custom Builds & Special Orders
Any golf cart that has been customized, modified, painted, or specially imported at the direct request of the customer is strictly non-refundable and non-returnable.
This includes carts fitted with custom lift kits, specific aftermarket seating, or unique body panels, as these vehicles cannot be easily resold to the general public.
4. Parts & Accessories Returns
Standalone parts and accessories may be returned within 14 days of receipt, subject to the following conditions:
- The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original, undamaged packaging.
- Electrical components (such as controllers, motors, and batteries) are strictly non-returnable once the packaging seal is broken or they have been connected to a vehicle, due to the risk of voltage damage.
- The customer is responsible for all return courier costs. A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the final refund amount for all non-defective parts returns.
5. Refund Processing
Once your returned vehicle or item is received and inspected by our workshop, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, the refund (minus any applicable restocking or transport fees) will be processed. A credit will automatically be applied via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) directly back to the original purchasing bank account within 7 to 10 business days. We cannot issue cash refunds or refund to a different bank account than the one used for the original purchase.
6. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return or report a material defect, please contact our support team directly. Do not return any vehicles or parts to our showroom without prior written authorization.
